Winning teams are eligible for up to $500,000 in prize funding and the opportunity to bring their solution to leading brands.

Applications close June 19, with the hackathon running June 22-24, and final submissions will be reviewed at the AI & Tech Sandbox on June 25. Winner to be announced June 26.

What is the AI & Tech Sandbox?

A beachfront hub at Cannes Lions where brands, creators, and tech leaders come together to explore and apply AI and emerging technology through hands-on experiences, content, and collaboration.

Where is the Sandbox located?

Miramar Beach, opposite the Hotel Martinez and a short walk from the Palais.

What are the Sandbox hours?

Hours are 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM on Friday. Evening programming after 6:00 PM is invite-only.

How do I attend?

You can register your interest via this https://aiandtechsandbox.com/. A confirmation email with a QR-code to access the AI & Tech Sandbox will be emailed to you ahead of the event.

Is the Sandbox open to everyone at Cannes Lions?

Programming is curated. Most sessions and experiences are open to all, while a handful of workshops and evening experiences are invite-only.

Who should attend?

Senior marketers, tech innovators, creators, and platform leaders looking to move beyond theory and explore real-world applications of AI and technology.

What kind of sessions can I expect?

A mix of main stage talks, hands-on workshops, roundtables, and live experiences like the Hackathon, Innovation Gallery, and AI & Tech Bazaar.

Will food and drinks be available?

Light bites and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Is there a dress code?

Cannes style is smart casual. Think lightweight, breathable clothing and comfortable footwear. As the Sandbox is an outdoor, beachfront space, we recommend sun protection (sunglasses, sunscreen). Shaded areas will be available throughout the space.

Do I need to sign up for sessions in advance?

Some sessions will require pre-registration due to limited capacity. Details will be shared closer to the event.

How can my company get involved?

What kind of exposure do partners get?
